Eh?...

just tried adding my title that i made in photoshop... it seems to have chopped off the sides? anyone got a clue how i've gone and messed it up this time? goddman im tired.. it's prob something reallly stupid and simple that only Anna could achieve difficult. cheers guys much apprecaited :)

and so it continues...

i'm going to keep it short and sweet. Not been all that good the past two weeks. lots of shit going on. im not going to go into detail but i deeply apologize for my lack of communication on here. Have shot images... but the camera i was using has had a few techincal issues (of course it has, i'm using it *rolls eyes*) but will hopefully get these up ASAP.

If you have ever seen the film 'Gremlims' you will know that these rules are essential for keeping gremlins at bay and keeping cute Mogwai happy. Now i felt that health wise- all though never 100% - recently i have been getting better and getting back into the swing of things. In a sense i was a happy Gizmo :)

However last Thursday eve/ Friday morn i was sooooo ill. The symptoms that i had before had returned and i was not in a good way. The nasty gremlims in my body had returned and following the three important rules from the film weren't going to help me too much.

So due to this setback i have still yet to shoot anything. I have only just about being able to sit on the cash desk at work and smile pathetically at the customers. I'm booked in with the docs tomorrow morn as i sure as hell am not going down without a fight and am gunna kick these gremlins' ugly asses.

As soooon as i'm better, i will be hauling my ass out and shooting......... but i am aware that time is running out and i get soo scared.

I wanna be Gizmo again................ *sigh*

Weather... whyyyy?

So i had planned on getting out and experimenting with my music video idea on Wed. Having had really nice weather the last few days i was feeling really optimistic about shooting....

I wake up yesterday morn and bam. overcast. and not a hint of light poking out from behind those depressing clouds.....man was i pissed. I ideally need strong sunshine for what i was planning but i cant control the weather so i think im just going to have to adapt my photos mood and atmosphere to accomodate the weather. I was able to shoot some stuff for Calvin but time is pressing on so i really want to get started v. soon. For the meantime heres some images that i have used for my research.
The majority of the images are stills from 'Vermillio Pt2' video itself and provide me with a constant reminder of the song, its lyrics and meanings. The field image is the type of location i would like to use. The girl floating in the dress portrays the atmosphere i want along with the image from the original 'Vermillion' video of the girl walking along with blurred background.

I know its a bit of a mish mash of research and it may not all make sense, but it all helps me create a sense of what i want to achieve in my images.




Also just while i'm here, what does everyone think of my colour scheme? After Matt mentioned Alice's colours on Tues i wasn't sure if mine looked a bit weird or unprofessional? I will get round to adding a header and more info on the page as well, i apologize for the delay its just taking a wee while..... anywhoo, take care guys and have a good weekend :)

Brick Wall Much?...

So since last week i unfortunatly haven't had any further developments on the idea front. I think i'm still trying to get back into the swing of college and taking in everything thats going on.

I am still considering the music video approach and possibly go down the route that we did in the first year with using a song lyric to symbolise a photo. Right now i dont have any visual representation apart from the video in my previous post but i'm going to contiune to consider this approach.

Will either find some visual examples of songs (stills from videos etc) or will see if i get a spark of inspiration :)

Look at me blogging and such....

Sooo, i finally beat a couple of those meanies who've been bulling me from the inside (thanks Vicki :D) and all though still undergoing repair- defiantly not ready to pass my M.O.T just yet- I'm back at college and desperate to finish this year... if it kills me *touch wood it wont*.

I have decided to call my blog Vermillion pt.2. just to clarify any confusion as to the name, it's the title of one of my favourite songs, and all though it is by Slipknot, it is most defiantly not a heavy rock/metal song. i urge you all to listen to it as its beautiful and sends shivers up and down my spine every time i hear it. here's a link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSnY6zjeRN0
i also love the video and as the song itself is very personal i reckon i could use its lyrics and video perhaps as a basis for my photos?
